Your World: Breaking The Parenting Cycle

In this episode, “Breaking The Parenting Cycle,” on Your World with Creflo Dollar, you’ll hear from a concerned parent who wants to be a different kind of mother than one she experienced. Being a parent isn’t easy, therefore most advice is appreciated – and that’s what you’ll hopefully hear today.

Have you ever felt afraid of becoming the parent your mom or dad was to you? Well, on today’s show, guest Jessica Taylor explains how and why she desperately wants to break the negative parenting cycle that she suffered through as a child.

Jessica suffered verbal, physical, and even sexual abuse, and became a single mom by the age of 15 years old. Now, like many parents, she faces the challenge of dealing with an unruly teenage daughter.

How does she approach her daughter in love, when times tend to feel not so loving?

Sometimes in order to get to the root of the issue, we have to look into the mirror and deal with our own cycle of negative habits. Whether those habits are birthed from past abuse, rejection, fear, or something that has you feeling trapped, the good news is that negative habits can be changed into positive ones!

God’s love when fully embraced can set you free from a past filled with fear, guilt, and shame that has affected your present relationships with others. When you receive LOVE, you can then learn to LOVE others.

As parents, we can accept God’s love for our lives, so that we can then enjoy a healthy, whole, and joyful relationship with our children. Just like Jessica learned to lean on God’s grace, you can to!

It’s time to break every negative cycle and embrace the grace you need to help you win in your relationship with your family!
